Since a lot of threads recently have been making use of pictures and they seem to be rather popular, I thought I'd like to start one where we could show off our four legged friends. I'm a dog lover and these are my two spoiled pride-n-joys. They lead comfortable lives, better than some people. That's Gretchen on top and Rudy below.

Beautiful birds. My Mom had parakeets. I can imitate one really well. Just never could teach them to talk. But we could parakeet holler at each other pretty good! :D

Nice pooches. My neighbor has a Corgi. She also had a 180lb Saint Bernard but unfortunately it passed away last weekend. It had epilepsy, which I guess is somewhat common in Saints. It had some real bad seizures last Friday night and never recovered. :(

Help the user, thats what its about for me.

My Corgi was a St. Bernard in a past life, he think he can tackle anything. When I took him out to the pet place the other day, he and a Rotweiler got into it and the RotWeiler walked away whimping.

Here are two blurry webcam shots of my cat, Garfield, sleeping on my laptop. I wish I had a better camera. This was like a month after I fisrt got him. He's much larger and fatter now, doing a better job of living up to his namesake.

I love it how people treat their animals almost as family. I've had a rabbit, but could never explain why that is the case. He would always come by when we were watching TV and bug us (it was fun), I guess it's the company that they keep.

I love it how people treat their animals almost as family. My wife and I affectionately refer to our cat as "our son." When we take him to the vet, we give him a full name with my wife's last name. He's definitely part of our family.

Two beautiful cats in my house... and one of them maltese terriers. You know the one I'm talking about; inferiority complex. She believes that she inhabits the body of a much larger dog!

Our oldest cat gets a chair at the table, she just sits there and watches us eat, hoping for a little tidbit! Our younger cat has a tail like a skunk, but is cute. :)

I don't currently have any pets, but I used to have rabbits.. adorably little very mental rabbits.. one of them had this complex where he got the idea that he was a parrot, he constantly wanted to sit on my shoulder for some reason.

When I get a new apartment if I'm allowed I would like to get a small cat to keep me company, I'm just worried about locking a cat up in a small apartment - I feel it's against it's natural instincts to be confined like that and I wouldn't want to hurt the poor animal.

Can't blame me for trying, the dog looks very nice as well I always liked that breed - they seem very majestic for some reason and at least the ones I know are extremely friendly and cuddly.

Cats and dogs are both great. My wife and I have a great little rat terrier, Gabby, and three cats, Tom, Joe, and Miss Kitty. Yes, I know those aren't great original names. In defense of Miss Kitty, that refers to the saloon owner in the old US TV series "Gunsmoke."

Quick, a show of hands from those of us that remember "Gunsmoke" when it was in first run and not just another TVLand historical relic! :p

Everyone, meet Billy...our little hawk :)

http://www.eclipsedesign.net/samples/billy2.jpg

My girlfriend and I love him so much and he's so way more than just a simple pet. He's our pride and joy, the light of our eyes...
Usually he's sitting on my shoulder when I'm working at my computer and he's speaking to me... he asks me: "How are you daddy? Or how's my baby doing?" He sits on the monitor as well where is warm and cozy and babbles on and on...
As a kid never had pets, never knew what that means. As a grown up never even thought that one day a parakeet like Billy will come into my life and completely change the way I feel about any animal on earth!!! He knocked me off :)

My pet pics are here (http://emacdogsports.com/modules/xoopsgallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album03), and here (http://claydoh.com/modules/xoopsgallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=Animals-and-critters).
Jake (http://emacdogsports.com/modules/xoopsgallery/view_photo.php?xoops_imageid=4&set_albumName=album03&id=res56574), the white terrier will be 16 (!!!) in March, and is the first dog my wife has ever had. The cute yellow terrier mix is Sunshine (http://www.emacdogsports.com/images/random/4.jpg), who does agility and various silly tricks. The grey Weimaraner is Lark, (http://emacdogsports.com/modules/xoopsgallery/view_photo.php?xoops_imageid=28&set_albumName=album03&id=res56586) 14 months old, she does flyball (http://www.flyballdogs.com/flyball_maineiacs/) and is currently ranked around 19th for her breed (http://www.flyballdogs.com/flyball_maineiacs/lark.htm) in the sport (not many do flyball  ) Just the other day, I put down a book I had just finished, and she went to the living room and brought me another one! Twice! Both Lark and Sunshine are rescue animals, as well is our cat Willy (http://claydoh.com/modules/xoopsgallery/view_photo.php?xoops_imageid=14&set_albumName=Animals-and-critters&id=dsc00044).

I run our local Agility club's website (http://emacdogsports.com). My wife works at our local Humane society (http://www.bangorhumanesociety.com/) and is also a dog trainer. Our upstairs neighbors also work with dogs/cats so we have a whole posse of dogs and cats, plus the occaisional fostering as well.

So I guess I love animals :D

Cat lover here...

but I do favor a few dog breeds... one is the Boxer - absolutely love them.. their style, energy, and less than average hair attracts me. I think I would crop the ears.. but Im not sure I like how they do it... seems painful.

On the first page ( at 40 a page ), I forget who but that was a nice pic of a German Shepherd, top dog there - all business. My whole family, cousins, uncles, gramps, my immediate; we've all had that breed in our lives at one point and most still do. Very popular in this family.

No room for a dog right now; proud owner of two tiger striped cats. ;)

cheers
