Cannot install ubuntu on acer aspire one

Hi,
I am trying to install ubuntu 8.10 from a USB stick with the supplied instructions from this site. The process hangs at 'searching bluetooth' during installation. Can some one please help...

I'm new here but I just installed the Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my Acer Aspire One. My installation hung at a mounting root line.

Originally, I used windows and flashnul to create my USB stick and I retired several times to run the installation.

Finally, I copied the imag to my Acer (still running Linpus) and used the dd command to copy the image to my USB stick. The installation was seamless after that.

Try using a different means to create your USB image.
