My old laptop has USB 1.0 not 2.0, and I think I used up about 10 G bytes in this account.
Now I have a new fast laptop HP NC6320. I have an 160G external USB drive, new / old laptops are net ready.
Is there a How-To on this?
I kindly of used to cpio and tar, hardly use rdist / backup commands.
What is the easiest or fast way on such tasks?
Yes I need to restore Evolution / Thunderbird data files.
I found this link,
FlyBack: a “Time Machine” backup utility for Linux
