Hi everyone!!
I have installed Ubuntu 8.10 (kernel 2.6.27.9) on my desktop and it works like a charm. and on my laptop its installed and so far looks good... but there's no wireless Internet . I'm on a DELL Inspiron 9400/E1705 with Ubuntu 8.10. It workes fine on the wired connection.
In the network settings I can only see Auto etho radio button selected, but both the wired and wireless networks disabled.
I entered
lspci | grep -i network
and I got back
0c:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 01)

I have searched the fourms and found tons of links, but not sure which one to follow. Could some one please guide on how to setup wireless.

Thanks
Anant
