Hi! I'm using a HP tx1000 notebook and I hooked up an external Dell 1707FP as a secondary display, which I want to run a separate X screen on.

My notebook's default flat panel runs at 1280x800 and my 1707FP runs at 1280x1024. I'm using a Nvidia graphics card and am using the beta 180.08 drivers.

The secondary display on my 1707FP has a black section at the bottom. My windows maximise to fill up the visible portion, but the bottom panel is hidden from view by the black section. See attachment for illustration.

Any help is appreciated =)

Im having the same problem. HP dv6500t with a dell 1704FPT as the second monitor.

Has anyone found a fix?

Something Interesting I noticed is that windows and the lower gnome bar appear behind the black bar, however the mouse goes over it.

Update: The mouse seems to work just fine in the black aria. I can click on buttons or icons that are in the black bar and they will work just fine.
