Just a general question about LiveCD:

Does using the LiveCD option when running Ubuntu create ANY files on my computer?

The reason why I'm asking is because I want to try out Ubuntu just for a test first and then I will decide if I like it.

Sounds great though, you guys are doing great. :) Just want to know before I try it out. ;)

Thanks again,
onehundredandtwo.

Great, thanks, I'm downloading Ubuntu right now, I'll post on the forums if I have any troubles with LiveCD.

Thanks, just wanted to confirm it, just in case I was missing something.

The livecd Copies Some important files to main memory and the rest of applications are opened from the Cd and written to cache so that the next time you open it it takes little time..

There is also an option to copy the whole contents to RAM..I believe there is a command line switch ,something like -toram, but I'm not sure..See the livecd help
