PS3 video help

I installed xubuntu 7.10 on my PS3. When it installed I rebooted it, I entered

ps3videomode -v 133
This did not enhance my screen and it leaves a blank part around the desktop. HELP!

I've not installed linux on my PS3 quite yet, but maybe you could look on here, if you haven't already:

I'd try there as well for any problems running on your PS3.

Where did you enter that?

Boot into a recovery console (from grub) and fix it.

If that's possible.
