homeserver with external pop3

I am setting up Ubuntu server as a homeserver for file storage, test webserver, backup and if possible as email backup server.
I have several external pop3 accounts on external webhosts. Is it possible to have every mail I send or receive from a desktop being stored on the server? Bare with me I am new to Ubuntu server and I am now wondering if I should choose as Postfix configuration "Internetsite" or "Internet with smarthost". Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for the same thing.. Can a cron event be setup to initiate the pop3 and store them in the system mail files based on a rule set?

It looks like Fetchmail may do it.
