Hi there I've just installed ubuntu studio 8.4 on my laptop (hp omnibook xt 1000 series) just a couple of days ago.
The problem is that it doesn't boot up it just stops, I have to make it boot up from recovery mode.
I've formatted it about 3 times in the last days, at the moment I have made 3 partitions : 1 for the swap; 2 for home and a third one for the system, but if I look on the computer it only shows me the File system HD.

Can anyone help please? I really want to use it for my little audio studio instead of windows but I'm new and can't figure out how to fix problems.............Thanx
