I recently just bough a new HP HDX 16 with the following specs:

Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.3ghz
3gb RAM
250gb HD
Blu-ray, fingerprint scanner, webcam, and all that junk

I downloaded the live cd iso and put it on a cd-r and did everything all of the instructions said to. When I restarted my computer, Windows just booted right up like there was no CD. I
used the "Help me to boot form CD" option also and it did not work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You have to change your CMOS settings to boot to your blue-ray/cd drive before your hard drive. There should be directions in your laptop manual.

Usually you get there by pressing the "delete" key at the hp logo during boot up.
