The man page for parted says that a lot of content has been moved to the
GNU storage guide. Please where is this? The package manager cannot find it.

Unfortunately at 2.1, this ref. says "this content has been moved to
the GNU storage guide".

I tried doing a google search for it, but didn't come up with much. I did see one reference on this page:

http://www.gnu.org/software/parted/manual/html_node/Overview.html

It said:

If you want to learn more about these, the upcoming GNU Storage Guide is recommended reading.

Maybe that means it's not done yet? There wasn't a date on the page.

Bump... does anyone know if this "GNU Storage Guide" has been completed? Or could anyone recommend an alternative introduction to such filesystem concepts?

Thanks.

misterPhyrePhox, all:

The GNU Storage Guide is not currently publicly available.

The lack of response saying otherwise is the most proof you should need, but also doing a google search reveals nothing, as well as a search specifically on gnu.org. This effectively means that the GNU Storage Guide does not exist. For further background, please see the following which is further indication that the GNU Storage Guide at some point was in development and was forgotten, lost, buried, or otherwise doomed to never become publicly accessible:

You don't happen to have some time and enthusiasm to consider
helping...? :)

Whoever thought it was a good idea to start deleting stuff from decent manuals (e.g. at least one version of parted's documentation references the GNU storage guide as "This manual used to introduce the reader to these systems and their working...content has moved to the GNU Storage Guide.") and/or referencing non-existant documentation -- SHAME ON YOU! And Leslie, if you are out there, please respond to this question regarding this thread: WTF?
