Hi everyone I am loving my kubuntu with virtual box now that I have upgraded my memory. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to upgrade to kubuntu 64 bit without doing a fresh install. I have alot of thrid party updates as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am at the point sense I am using virtualbox that I can do away with dual booting if I dont have to reinstall everything in virtual box also when I upgrade.

Nope, it's not... On the other hand: as long as you've 4GB RAM or less there's not much reason to change to 64bit.

There is a way to move your entire /home onto a partition:

if you do so you'll have to reinstall root and any programs you installed but /home should be safe, backup very important files externally as a precaution nonetheless.
