Gnome-terminal flashing taskbar on hilight in irssi

Hello!

Does anyone know how to get the gnome-terminal to flash in the taskbar when I'm hilighted in irssi, running on a remote server?

People running irssi in screen on a headless box must be a very common setup, I know I use it.

From searching around, some people claim that terminator (http://www.tenshu.net/p/terminator.html) supports it - which, looking at the man page, it does.

i.e. in ~/.config/terminator/config;

audible_bell = True
visible_bell = True

This does not work for me. I've asked around in most of the IRC channels I frequent.... and no one seems to know how to do this, I usually get something a long the lines of "there are notify scripts"..... which doesn't really help.

With this being so simple in windows - I cannot believe it's not possible!!!
