Hello
I'm a happy Ubuntu user and I have now Ubuntu 8.04 installed on my laptop, an ASUS Z92U. I like the idea of having a nice and usefull desktop and the moment I saw the launchpad used on the netbooks, I wanted to try it out on my laptop too.
So I searched the internet and downloaded the packages I needed to install a the NetBook Remix onto my existing Ubuntu-configuration. The installation went fine but the ume-launchpad is extremy slow.
What could be causing this slowness?
My ASUS Z92U contains an AMD 3100+ sempron CPU, 2 gigs of RAM, 160Gb harddisk and a SIS MG760x videocard.
I think it has something to do with my videocard but can it be configured to work with? Isn't it possible at all with this videocard? Or is it something else?
