I have a Logitech Quickcam Express which I want to use in Intrepid. I am trying to install qc-usb driver 0.6.6 as per the instructions given over here (http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net/)

The webcam is recognised as an usb device because the output of lsusb is

Bus 005 Device 002: ID 13b1:0020 Linksys WUSB54GC 802.11g Adapter [ralink rt73]
Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

On compiling the driver I get the following error :

Ekiga, Cheese, Easycam2, Skype all fail to detect the device.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank You

I installed the same driver through synaptic and no chat program detects my logitec webcam either. It used to work with Hardy but since installing Intrepid, it doesn't. (using KDE)
