If you saw it what are your impressions of the movie?

I watched it this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Awesome film. I would have been gutted if the ending was different.

Same here, I thought it was going to 'different'.

Knowing Danny Boyle had directed it i kinda expected it to be good and it certainly was.The 2 little lads playing the brothers when they were younger did a great job.Dev Patel did a great job too of course.

EDIT:Almost as good as Trainspotting in fact.

Fantastic.

It's my 2 of the year. I liked WALL-E better by a bit.

Yes, it's a really good film. Only the second time in a decade of cinema going where I've seen a cinema audience applaud a film.

Still got the DVD myself somewhere, and the book...and even spent 10 of my formative years growing up on the same Estate as the Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh hailed from.
Seeing that s**t first hand was more than enough to keep me on the straight & narrow, mostly.Sadly the same cant be said for many of those i grew up with back in Edinburgh and most are no longer around to tell the tale.

I'm distantly related to the director, Danny Boyle. I have a great-grandfather in common with him. His uncle and cousins were at a clan gathering we had a few years ago, but he wasn't there.
