What Palm has shown on 9th January 2009 has blown my mind! As far as Mobile Phones are concerned, what an exciting times we are in!
Palms's Pre (http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/reviews/review.phtml/3765/4789/palm-pre-mobile-phone-smartphone.phtml) Mobile is an absolutely drool worthy gadget. Palm picks up where iPhone has left and how! While we have had lots of iPhone killers/wannabes but let us except the fact, none of them comes close, until now. Checkout these pics. and you will know what I am talking about. Palm is giving us best of Blackberry and iPhone.

Palm, whose name was synonymous with smart phone was hammered black and blue by the likes of Apple,BB and Microsoft (sic!)and it steadily lost its market share. Subsequently it hired top execs from Apple and the results are for all of us to see. If marketed properly, this is going to be gadget of the year!

Interesting how the dev kit is essentially HTML/CSS/Javascript.

Finally, a platform I can develop for with confidence. :P

I really want Palm to do well although they have made many mistakes and been sold many times. I was one of the original PDA owners and will always remember my Palms fondly.

There was always a lot of free software available for them. They made the same mistake as 3DFX Voodoo in not keeping up with their competition.

This is really good news, finally a Smart Phone that might actually work! :D.

I'm glad Palm have finally gotten their act together, it feels like an age since they last did something decent.

I had bought a Palm Zire 71 but was disappointed by the lack of wifi support. The later Palm TX resolved that issue, and I even thought about getting one.

These days, though, I've stopped using a PDA. I don't have a smartphone; I just wasn't using the PDA often enough to warrant carrying it in my pocket all the time.

Ditto, exact same boat as me.

I just got an iphone. I still would like to get this or try it out at least. I bet it will fail though.
