have a road trip coming up with some old friends, i need some suggestions to create the most amazing 80's hair metal disk ever! more up-tempo preferred.

stuff like old motley crue, iron maiden, poison etc. the more bleach blond hair and pink spandex the better!!!

Please suggest individual tracks and which album / artist.

thanks in advance.

how dare you put maiden in that category :O

Try very early pantera (pre-cowboys from hell), that's some glam right there.

Thank goodness for bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains who thankfully ended that whole scene...

But since you asked....

Whitesnake

Ratt

Cinderella

Quiet Riot

Twisted Sister

Warrant

Helix

Wasp

Stryper

Winger

White Lion

When people think of Pantera, I'm sure they don't think of this:

Apparently their early stuff is pretty damaging to their career, so they changed their image.

EDIT: Aww, Moustacha beat me to it :(

O god...I just remembered a music video I saw on TV a while ago-Unskinny Bop by Poison.

That video fit every possible stereotype of the '80s hair metal scene into one short song.

Cherry Pie - Warrant*
(This song is really awful...you may not want to include it in your metal disc...just be forewarned...lol)

Come on Feel the Noise - Quiet Riot

Wait - White Lion

Rock you - Helix

747 - Saxon

Steamrock Fever - Scorpions

Don't tell me you love me - Night Ranger

(Saxon...I think they might be more hard rock than glam rock)

Yea I forgot there was another band called Trixter...not sure of what tunes they had ...but they were popular for awhile.

Def Leppard ... pick anything from their greatest hits album. They use to be a good band from the 80's ...but when they started doing those awfulremakes like Badfinger's "No Matter What" ... Its time to hang up the guitars...

Oh yeah, Trixter - I saw them in a concert with David Lee Roth - another suggestion for glam rock for ya!

On the other hand, they did spawn Nu Metal, which is basically just a bunch of crybabies whinging on about how no one understands them. At least Kiss et al, are fun.

And Pearl Jam have to be the most pointless band ever.
