After upgrading to 8.10 hp printer doesnt work

Hi, I upgraded from 8.04 to 8.10 using update manager. Printer hp 1018 worked in 8.04, but now it doesnt work. I tried a lot of things also using hp-setup, but without success. It shows me printer(after adding using graphical or text interface), but doesnt print. Can you help what is wrong?

following that manual and doing everything there is still problem. Printer works, but everytime I want to print something I must manully replug usb from printer to other usb port on motherboard(this I must do for every printing page, also to print first page). I dont understand why it is worse with interpid ibex when on 8.04 everything worked great without any problem.
I have hp 1018.
