I am trying to install a command-line system on an IBM Thinkpad 600 with 64 MB of RAM and a Pentium II 233 Megahertz processor. For some reason, when starting up the partitioner displays the second time, it hangs at 50% with the message "Please wait..." Debian CD's partitioner works fine, but I want to use Ubuntu.

The alternate installation requires a minimum of 256meg of ram.
