Hey guys, Im not really new to linux but one thing i have never known is what LTS stands for. i.e. Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

anyone know? lol

Long Term Support

LTS releases are supported for 3 years (5 years for server), instead of the normal 18 months

OK, i'll just save it for the most painfully obvious ones.

how come this is the first time i've seen it if it is used so much? i'm here MANY hours a day.
