I have a bash script that prints how many unread forum replies I have on a Swedish community, but as I don't want to have to run conky, I would like to have it displayed in my panel (as shown in the picture). Is there any simple way to do this? The script would of course have to be run on a certain interval, to make sure that the data is accurate.
