Upgrade gone wrong

Help please !!!
I've tried to upgrade from Dapper Drake LTS to Hardy Heron LTS,
when the computer has been restarted to XP by my children during the process.
I am running a dual boot system with 2 hard drives.
Now when I try to start Ubuntu from the grub menu, I only get a blank screen.
Where do I go from here ?:confused:

You could just try a fresh install to Hardy if you have your data backed up. Otherwise, try booting to a LiveCD and seeing if you can mount your Ubuntu drive, recover the data, and do a fresh install.

I installed Dapper and then upgraded to Hardy Heron, took a while but then it works.
