Isn't there a good MSX emulator for Ubuntu? I typed 'msx' in the Add/Remove... program hoping to find a few options, but nothing was found. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Have a look at openmsx, you can install it by synaptic package manager or from the terminal

sudo apt-get install openmsx

Thanks for the suggestion. This is a MUST TRY software. I'll give feedback after I try a couple of ROMs

Thank you for the information, Partyboi2.

I've found that it works fine with the following ROMs:

Alpha Roid,
Guardic
Knightmare
Nemesis (This game is one of my favourites; I've uploaded a screenshot below)
http://www.piccdrop.com/?dm=4NOC
Pegasus
R-Type
Yie Ar Kung Fu 1 & 2

I've not been able to get it to work fully with the following:

Dungeon Hunter (loads, but couldn't start a game)
Dungeon Master (don't recall it even loading)

Though I suspect that with some alterations to the settings, both could work.

There's a nice GUI that goes with it, that can be installed with the following command:

sudo apt-get install openmsx-catapult

I've attached a little icon I made using its About graphic.
