i installed jaunty upgrade but my xserver failed.
It says
The X server is now disabled. Restart GDM when it is configured correct
so i want to revert back to intrepid because at that time xserver was working. so can anyone tell me how to revert this upgrade in command interface.
thanks....

There is no downgrade path, you need to reinstall Intrepid.

when i was upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10, i put my desktop to upgrade and went out...
when i returned i saw its like in hibernated mode, then i restarted my system... then it was starting 10.10, but when it reached at the place where i have to enter account password, it got stuck. every time i restarts it reaches up to this after system booting.. also it says "install problem - the configuration defaults for GNOME power manager have not been installed correctly. Please contact your system administrator"
So what i should do?
i have no back ups of my desktop files...
please help me
