I'm Not Great With Computers But I Am Learning As I Go.I've Read Quite A Bit (Linux How To's),Repartitioned The HDD For Dual Boot,Installed Ubuntu 8.10 The Install Went OK I Think. I've Got a Problem With Pages Loading Verrry Slow Or Not At All.Some Sites Come Up, So I Know I'm Connected. On The Other Side I Got Micro$oft Vista, And It Flies(Very Fast). Should I Do A Network Restart On The Command Line Or Is That For Wireless? I Am Wired To A Speedstream 6520 Router(Ethernet).Thanks For Taking The Time To Read This, Cycleman

Have you tried an alternative browser such as Opera or Epiphany, see if the same sites load slow in either of those and you can then locate the fault to either Firefox or another issue.
