I'm from Italy and I'm in italian's Ubuntu forum, but sometimes is better lookup...
I work with Linux from 2000, beginning with Gentoo (...), then I used Mandrake since now, but it's not as friendly as Ubuntu does.

Welcome, ahhh I'm not the newest anymore. I came frome slackware 10 then Mandriva much like yourself. Don't torture yourself by jumping from distro to distro stay here with Ubuntu and enjoy.
