hi im quite new to ubunto and to linux as a whole. can you guys help me with this problem. i can ./configure the files but i cannot make it. what s wrong with this one. i have already tried 5 source packages.and is it possible to download frm the repository then install it on my hard drive because i have no interrnet connections. what if i want gnomebaker. i already tried downloading binaries and writing them to cds using nero, but they are not being recognized. Error says . "Perhaps this is not a debian test." is there a solution to this. or maybe we could just suggest somthing like a self-extracting file that installs itself on the hard drive once it is extract, maybe we could suggest this to canonical.
