Hello. I have a custom icon for Pidgin and it is in use everywhere except for when my "Buddy List" is visible on my Window List, and as the window menu button (which I have deactivated). Does anyone know where this icon is being pulled from. I have searched through every seemingly relevant directory for anything named Pidgin, purple, menu and the like. Thanks in advance for any help. FWIW my terminal does the same thing (except while launching it displays the correct icon, then reverts to the old "ugly" one)

I believe that icon belongs to Kopete, KDE's IM client

I believe it is pulled from your theme. If you go to usr/share/icons/hicolor/apps/16x16 and change the icon for Pidgen it should change, though since I'm not at my Ubuntu computer right now the path could be different.
