Well, I feel it is time to sell my old laptop, as I cannot find a battery for it anywhere (was recalled).

How much money do y'all think I could get on eBay with these specs?

Model: Toshiba Satellite M55-S3314
Original Price: $1,300
Year: 2005 (possibly 2006)
Operating System: Xubuntu Linux 8.10
Battery: N/A
AC Power Adapter: Yes
Memory: 1GB
RAM: 512MB
HDD: 80 GB, (76 GB due to boot sector and the such)
WiFi Card: Unknown, *ubuntu compatible
USB Ports: 4
Lan Ports: 1
Optical Drive: DVD+RW/CD+RW
Graphics card: Intel, possibly equivalent in power to a GeForce 3
Telephone cable port: Yes
Printer Hook-up: Yes

Probably not as much as you might get for the parts if you broke it up. Similar spec Tosh lappies seem to go for about $250-400ish for the whole machine, but a new screen is $110ish.

That's ballpark figures btw. Ebay.com didn't have any auctions of that exact model.

You can filter your search for "completed items" only on eBay. It's a really good tool to see what the market has been paying for something.
