When I try to change my audio device, I get:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink: Could not open audio device for playback.

I don't really know but I had something like that installed in Fedora 9 and it screwed it up. Just wandering.

Ok, but I just installed it to see if it fixed it, but ill uninstall. Do you still have a fix?

No, I don't have a fix but see what happens after you uninstall it.

Ok, it didnt fix it, but do you know how to reinstall the ubuntu kernel and drivers. Im sure this will fix it!:D

Actually I think I do. I'm not sure if this will work but try to download this:http://kcheck.sourceforge.net/download.html. It may take a while though so be patient. Hope this works!
