I have set up a 4 MB USB key with 2 partitions, one for data and another for an ubuntu live system.
I need to make 3 or 4 copies of it for my friends. Should I have to manually re-run all the procedures (starting from partioning) or is there an easier way to clone the USB key onto another one? (I mean, clone the full USB key containing boot record and two partitions: I know I could use dd for each partition)

I think PartImage can do what you're trying to do there.

Yes, thank you!
I have also found ddrescue...
