Sound Card recommedations ?

Hi All,

I have the VT1720/4 Envy24PT sound setup and ubuntu will simply not reconize it. After trying several posts and spending several hours with google I have decided to purchase a sound card to replace my onboard sound setup.

What lower priced sound card do you recommend to run well with winxp and ubuntu .

Someting from creative comes to mind but would like to hear your thoughts on this.

There are many HCL's are the internet to check out.

You can find something you like and then check it for compatibility online, then you should be ok
