Hi,
Just installed a newly fresh Ubuntu 8.10 desktop 32-bit on my laptop.

Have tried severaltimes to get the Murrina Crystal theme to work but I can't get it to work and I end up with a installation with tons of installed engines and things so I keep re-installing the OS.

I don't know the difference of GTK, GTK+, GTK2, emerald and so on so please help me.

As I said I have a newly installed Ubuntu 8.10 and I need help to get the engine and theme to work.

The theme I wan't is lookaed here: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Murrina+Crystal?content=96065

2. downloaded and imported the theme
3. tried to change the theme but did'nt work
4. rebooted the computer, still the same thing!

As I mentioned, 8.10 desktop edition!

You just installed the engine from that link and then the theme?

Did you use the System > Preferences > Appearance to swap themes?

No I mean are you using 64bit, as that ubuntu package is for x86 packages.
If you use a 64bit system it wont work.
