Hello all.
I have been trying for several weeks to get my logitech quickcam web working. If I run camstream, it works fine, but not in any other programs.
It was working on my previous 8.4 installation, but fails to work now after my upgrade to 8.10.

I believe I am running the qc-usb drivers, but to be honest I don't remember how I installed them.

Trying the qc-usb install process here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=53755&page=2) always fails for me. (My errors for the failed build are in that thread, but I'm not sure if that is relavent)

Error messages I get using skype:

Skype V4L: Device does not support video capture
Starting the process...
Skype Xv: Xv ports available: 16
Skype XShm: XShm support enabled
Skype Xv: Using Xv port 58
Skype Xv: No suitable overlay format found
Aborted

Could anyone help me out? I'd really appreciate it.

Hi there. I have the same issue with two different logitech cameras. Furthermove, the QC-USB driver needed some code modifications to build on my configuration. It's definitely buggy. Guess it's easier to go and buy a few cameras of different brands and maybe get lucky with one of them!

Good Luck
