Intrepid high memory usage

Hi all,
i've installed the same packages (CLI + xorg + xfce4 + slim + php5 + apache2 + mysql-server) first using Intrepid and then Hardy and i've discovered (via htop command) that in Intrepid the memory usage is 190 MB while is 70 MB in Hardy.
Can anyone help me solve this mistery?

it must be cache, what exactly is being used ?

intrepid has improved this feature, cache is good !

It looks like i don't have to worry about this?am i right?
I've always thought that a low ram usage would mean a more efficient system...
