We're installing Ubuntu (XFCE flavor, actually) 8.04 on around 10 older PCs, mostly P3s with 256MB RAM and 20GB hard drives, for donation to a local charity. I think most of these are going to families with children who can't afford a PC. My question: is it worth upgrading from 8.04 to 8.10? I know 8.04 is a LTS release, but does this really matter for a home system?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
