Every Burger King I go to is riddled in flies and is dirty. No way in hell I will EVER try a whopper. I <3 Big Macs. Btw, notice on the whopper virgins commercial they only showed 4 out of the 12 villagers they pulled. Obviously most didn't like the whopper.

If I'm going to eat at a fast food "restaurant" that primarily serves hamburgers, I'm going to go with a Wendy's Single with cheese and no mayonnaise.

Are you kidding? Those death disques they sell at micky d's are hardly edible! When I am in the mood for the special sauce, I normally just get a whopper without the ketchup, mayo, or mustard, and just put 1000 island dressing on it.

But then again I haven't had a whopper in quite a while! LOL

The Whopper with bacon and cheese on whole wheat bread. Though this mostly happens after a night involving alcohol consumption, a rare occurrence indeed.

Neither. I really don't like hamburgers, especially those made from dubious meat in fast-food places.

If you want real ground beef Wendy's is your only choice as far as the big burger chains otherwise its a beef patty.

I liked the whoppers before they started to nuke them and burger king fries got to be so bad.

I remember when they steamed the buns instead of nuking them in a microwave which is much better.

Since you appear to have issues of a technical nature I wrote you a how-to:

0) Locate burger dispensary
1) Step up to counter
2) Place order
3) Pay order
4) Wait
5) Receive order
6) Find seating
7) Consume order

Whopper because at least it would have some vegetables. Big Macs just have some of those not-quite-onion-thingies and a little shredded lettuce. I like big, crunchy onions with tomatoes, whole-leaf lettuce, pickles and whatever other veggies can be piled on. I basically like my burgers with a side-salad included.

[DISCLAIMER: I prefer Ruby Tuesdays' Bison burger to anybody else's burger products.]

McDonald's definitely in a "McD's vs. BK" fight.

Let me also just say that I'm glad to hear it's not just the BKs in my area that are always chronically run-down and dirty. It wasn't like that back in the 1980s (I remember getting Star Wars glasses from them when Empire and Jedi came out.)

The Baconator is like a Double with bacon, right?

If I'm in the mood for bacony goodness without the associated heart attack, I just order the Big Bacon Classic, which is basically a single with bacon. It's not one of the eight or so value meal combos. I'm not sure all Wendy's restaurants sell it. But it is quite tasty.

The only complaint I have about Wendy's is that they don't quite cook the hamburger all the way through (i.e. it's a little pink inside).

Although i cant stand either myself i usually get out-voted when the wife & kids decide they want one....6-1.Thankfully it`s only when we`re out and about as a family that we might have one and it`s not exactly something we`d have as an evening meal.
We`ve just recently moved house though and Macdonald`s is now at the bottom of the road so i have found myself in a few more disputes of late.

This is not the only comment like this on this thread, but I too have noticed this trend. It appears that Burger King has stopped maintaining their restaurants and resorted to reheating precooked food, while McDonald's is systematically remodeling their restaurants. I used to like the Whopper, but once I noticed this trend, I stopped going to Burger King. I prefer Wendy's overall, but if it's a choice between Burger King and McDonald's, I'm going with McDonald's.

Actually Hungry Jacks are NOT owned by BK.

In 1971 a bloke wanted to open up a burger bar in Western Australia. There was no McDonalds presence in WA at that time. He approached BK and asked for a Franchise but BK thought it would be a disaster so they refused to allow him to go under the BK brand name but allowed him to set up as Hungry Jacks using their products with his own finance. (No risk to them at all)

It was a runaway success.

BK then thought.. "Hang on a minute, we want in" and tried to pull the brand off him but the Australian law courts said "go swivel"

So BK had to setup and compete against their own product.

The ghettoness is just part of the Burger King experience. Why do you think almost every BK commercial, sans kids commercials, always star black people? If you don't risk getting shot on the way to the restaurant, it's not a real BK.

I prefer Whataburger over all burger places. Sonic is a close second with Burger King bringing up the rear. I started boycotting McDonalds 6 or 7 years ago. I honestly can't even remember what a big mac taste like, but that's probably for the best.

What is a doner kebab?

Döner kebab (döner in short) is the name of a Turkish meat dish which consists of thin meat pieces. There are a lot of different kinds of döner dishes. Here is one of them, which is named iskender kebab:

http://www.finbom.se/resa/Turkiet/Iskender%20Kebab.jpg

You can buy some kind of döner dishes as quick as other fast food dishes (not iskender kebab which needs some time to prepare but it is the most delicious one if you ask me :)) so it is becoming widespread in foreign countries as an alternative for hamburgers and pizzas.

I look at the portions you guys get over there (not to mention the health factor) and gluttony comes to mind. There is a reason why you guys have so many morbidly obese (http://www.obesity.org/statistics/) people and suffer from so many heart attacks.

I worked at a Burger King for a couple of years in High School. I then worked at a few non-fast-food restaurants through college, and Burger King was cleaner than any of them. Of course this is just one instance, so I can't speak for all Burger Kings. But people who avoid fast food because of cleanliness better not eat at any other restaurants either.

It used to be, that McDonald's was a real treat to go to. Now, they have turned a "once in a while" food into a pretend health food food for everyday consumption. Nothing is the same. My god, they don't even cook the meat fresh anymore. The heat lamps are gone, but the plastic drawers full of rubber circles is here. Who ever would go to McD for yogurt, I don't know. Even the old cereals we used to enjoy once in awhile, are now ruined by "whole wheat" and other such rubbish. I eat my whole grains when I wish to, and would love to taste the old foods that I grew up with just as they were. What ever happened to Koogle and Freshie?

Belgians invented what we call "french fries" (they call them frites) and yet they get none of the deserved credit.

Taste is subjective. However, although there is a lower ratio of fat calories in a Whopper (http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/fast-foods-generic/9280/2) compared to a Big Mac (http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts/fast-foods-generic/8053/2), there are 4 more grams of fat in a Whopper. And all four of those extra grams are Saturated Fat.

Not to mention, I was nice and used a Whopper w/o cheese in the comparison. :)

If anybody ever had an In and Out Burger they would never vote for either of the two choices. In that case the correct choice is Neither.

I have eaten a few and I would still take a whopper over an In and Out Burger...

It would depend on whether I was hungry or horny.

Though being a vegetarian, I guess that leaves one of the options out all together. :lolflag:

That's a whole different beast.

This is also the first time I have ever heard someone say they prefer White Castle burgers to... well... anything.

In a hypothetical situation where I would be placed in some Guantanamo force-feeding scenario where I'd eat it or have my stomach pumped, i'd actually choose the Big King, it's a double quarter pounder with cheese and "special sauce"

Oh by the way to reveal the secret the special sauce used by McDonalds and Burger King is a variation of Thousand Island Dressing. If you like that sort of thing you can make a "homemade Big Mac" or "Big King" by just adding that and mix in some mild cheddar if you want cheese and it will be a better for what it's worth.

The second time I visited the States, I had been forearmed with the info' that Burger King made the best franchise burgers in the country.

So (being a carnivore at the time) I gave them a try, & I have to say they made one great burger.

This was in 1993, so perhaps things have changed since then.

I should also state that I have never had a MacDonald's burger in my life. :P

Out of the two, I say Whopper. But I prefer my food raw when I order it and cooked when I eat it.
Man this thread made me hungry, Guess I'll get out of the truck and go into the truckstop for some food. (probably an omelet)
