Hi,

Few days ago I tried Live CD of 8.10 and decided to make my Vista machine dual boot with Ubuntu.

Created partition but got I/O Error (I think # 5) after about 24% completion].

The CD was created on same drive so the CD drive was fine.
I had also checed CD for errors and it was clean.

Kubuntu 8.10 installed fine in the partition but I could not get mono moonlight to work in FireFox. Since it had worked in Ubuntu Wubi I wanted to try Ubuntu again. This time made a CD of 8.04

But I keep getting same error. Even in text mode same error appeared.

](*,)

Any ideas ?

TIA

In some other topic either here or elsewhere (don't remember), someone mentioned use of DVD should solve install issue.

I tried that and it worked.

Now I have Vista and Ubuntu 8.04 in their own partitions.
