Ubuntu 8.10
Sony Vaio PCG VX888

When I click in the Network icon I see 3 available networks. When I select mine I receive back "Authentication required by wireless network".

The only options for wireless security are:
WEP 40/128-bit key
WEP 128-bit passphrase
LEAP
Dynamic WEP (802.1x)

My network uses WPA Personal.

I tried using System > Preferences > Network Configuration > Wireless
There I can choose WPA & WPA2 Personal and fill the password but when I try to connect it doesn't use this connection; it creates a new one with same name using WEP.

Thanks for any help,
Tony
