Hi,

I have just taken the plunge into Ubuntu with my Tecra M7 tablet. Everything has installed perfectly, except the tablet pc functionality. I did expect that I would need to do some work to get it working, but I'm really not sure where to start. I have done some googling and searched through the forums, and there is a lot of stuff, but I can't work out what to do!

Is there a tutorial or a guide somewhere, or someone who has done this before who might be able to help? Compared to XP, Ubuntu is fantastic, but I use the tablet functions a lot and would really like to get them working.

Thanks for any help,

Nic

Hi nic-clark,

You should be able to follow Loic2's wiki at:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wacom

It was mainly for graphics tablets, but he's made it more tablet pc friendly. To help you I've attached a generic xorg.conf. You'll probably want to go back to xorg.conf because I think your stylus has a side button and an eraser. I'm also pretty sure it is a serial tablet.
