I was looking through my bookmarks and I stumbled across this webpage (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BootToRAM) that details how to make ubuntu boot a liveCD onto ram for quick computer access, etc.

I am interested in doing this because there are many instances where I want to just turn on the computer quickly and look something up. I just wanted to know from one of the more experienced users if this guide seems up to date. This section (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BootToRAM#Patch%20boot%20scripts) talks about something being broken in Feisty, so is it still necessary?

Booting to RAM actually takes more time to boot because it has to copy / over to RAM. Luckily when / is copied over, it can totally pwn in terms of response times.
