Someone told me there was a website that sold old computers so people can make cheap linux boxes.

Does anyone know of this website?

Ebay? Try working with me here. Its a website that sell old computers, good for linux boxes. I do not want an internet auction site. So, I am not looking for ebay.

Ebay is where I picked up the PC that I use for a jukebox.
It cost £10.
There's plenty old PC's going cheap on Ebay that would be ideal for reviving with the right Linux distro.

Nothing wrong with ebay I've bought 4 different notebooks from ebay over the last 3 years or so and successfully installed linux on all of them: 2 thinkpads, a compaq, and a nice little Gateway 200arc I'm using right now. None of them were more than $225 including shipping. You could also try the local Craigs List.

I am already looking at ebay, never said it wasn't a good place. I heard from a friend that there was another website that focused on it, and they didn't remember the website, read it in a pc magazine.

I get mine from the local rubbish dump for $5- each, $10- with monitor.

Even if you only salvage RAM & a PSU out of the thing you are a mile in front.
