I wanted to install TuxGuitar on my laptop, so I went to the main website, and I went to the download page, and after I got on the download page there, I looked under GNU/Linux Releases, and there was a list of different sources as to where I can download TuxGuitar. First off, I'm not exactly sure which source I'm supposed to use, I have Ubuntu 8.10 installed on my laptop. Secondly, I'm not sure how I can install it which I download the right one. Please help.

Ubuntu uses .deb
You can extract it, read README for instructions.

Tuxguitar is in the repositories, just make sure you have enabled the Multiverse repository.
