View Full Version : [ubuntu] Help needed loading new drivers...

I've just downloaded some new linux drivers for my network card that I've been having so many probs with lately. My understanding is these drivers don't suffer the low transfer and sig levels as previously.

The file has been unzipped and the new rt2500pci driver folder is sitting on my desktop awaiting its new resting place.

What I need to know is, where is it's resting place so I can put it there, and by what process? And then, how do I configure it and remove the current ndiwrapper?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Are you sure there are no instuctions on the website - or a readme file that tells you what to do next?

Are they windows drivers? If so go to
System>Administration>Windows Wireless Drivers
to install them

Nothing in the package itself, though the website has info but it's all way above this noob. Talks about stuff like sarge, sid & etch...

What I need is a really simple instruction on how to install these new drivers and disable ndiwrapper - though I think I know how on that one.

Please?
