Greetings.

I am looking to configure the Lexmark X1240 printer . it is detecting the printer but when i try to print it does nothing . is there any special procedure I need to follow to set it up.

appreciate any suggestions.

Lexmark and Linux don't get along. There website desn't even offer a solution... sorry I think your out of luck

+1 my HP 1012 works very well with Ubuntu

I have a HP Deskjet F370, it works very well, never had a problem with. Not with one linux distro.

+3 never ever had any problems whatsoever with 2 HP Printers and Linux including Ubuntu

I finally got my dell a910 ( rebranded lexmark) to work. It may help.
