How do they know where i live ? when i go to certain trackers they always advertise: Girls in 'mytown'
How do they do this. I mean, my ip address is a general world region right ? Or is it more specific ?

your ip can tell a lot about you. just type in the terminal $whois <ip address>

An IP is set by your ISP, which they can trace to the Exchange that your phone line is connected to. Technically you can trace further back to your actual phone line but these websites do that.

They just have a program that checks what exchange your IP originiates from.

I wouldn't worry to much about it.

It's based upon your ip adress I believe. Although sometimes they're right some times they'll give you som far out place.
