Hi All,

Need to know and download the best software and need a network to download the best trail or full version softwares.

please help me.

I guess you can search add/remove for anti-virus programs if you want... but you won't really need it. Linux is not Windows, real-time protection like that isn't necessary.

You mean anti-virus software? If so then, you don't really need it unless you want to check your Windows installation from Ubuntu. You can always try online virus scanners by searching over Google, but please note that those donnot fix problems, only point out if there are viruses and which file(s) contain them.

Use clamav with the avscan frontend. Just install the packages via synaptic.

They are not needed though. Your best off using a hardware based firewall (router). If you dont have one, install firestarter via synaptic.

You can acess avscan and firestarter from the menu once installed ;)

Do not use cnr.com. It opens up many vulnerabilities if installed. There's a reason why linspire and freespire is on it's way out!

They are not needed though.

There is one case where they are needed. If you run an email client, then you should use an anti-virus because you could email a virus to your Window friends.
