Anyone good with Interior design?

I want to redo my room. Simple as that. Sadly, I haven't the slightest clue of where to start since I can't really visualize things very well.


Haha, here's a pic (http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l121/Ops_666/Picture.jpg) of one half of the room. It's pretty bare, I know, but I want to go for a minimalistic look. I want darker colors though, kind of a mix of black/grey and white, if you get the idea.

Oh, and the Modem/Router/Firewall in the left of the picure will be moving sometime soon.

is that a bend in the wall behind your bed (a little hard to tell with the light hitting it)?

you could improve the look just by rearranging things. you could have at least the appearance of more room if you place the bed along one of the walls. get rid of the poster on the wall. the coat rack should go too. put that file cabinet in a corner.

white is your best bet for the walls, if you want minimal. for one, you can use less light to illuminate the room as the white will be reflective (painting it black would make you feel like you're searching for bin laden in a cave).
