can i run a pc with 2 diferent kinds of ram?

eg.

4GB 800MHZ 5-4-4
2GB 800MHZ 4-4-4


is it possible?

Have to check your motherboard manuals some PC's only work with up to 2gb strips like mine.

could not find anything like that!!

just this info:

4 x 1.8v ddr2 dimm sokects supporting up to 8GB
dual channel
ddr2 1006/800/667

Looks like yours will work with DDR 2 up to 8 GB which is 4 gigs in each slot.

So yours should work.

For best performance however you want to either install two two gigs or 2 4 gig strips. This makes it dual channel.

Odds are your computer will function-but your RAM will all clock to the highest latency values. Some RAM DIMM also don't run well at different timings than default spec. In short you won't gain anything, at best.
